We’re already at number one, and we’re pleased to say that the Samoyed deserves this position. With the origins in the frozen Siberia, Russia this dog developed in time natural camouflage. It’s perfectly white fur makes this breed the most expensive in the world.

They are also nicknamed: “Smiling Sammy” because the ends of their mouths are slightly risen. Although they used to be used as sled dogs to herd reindeer now-a-days they have become one of the most seeked family pets.

We had to take the time to consider whether or not the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel should be ranked #1 or not. With it’s gentle disposition and eagerness to please, this adorable breed has become a must have when it comes to celebrity or royalty pets. It’s prices vary a lot starting with $1000 and an average pup can go up to #14,000 depending on the fur texture, color and certain traits that the soon to be owner would find appealing.

We all knew the Tibetan Mastiff has to be in this top 5 but we were also surprised to see it only on #4 considering a pure Red Tibetan Mastiff sold for over $1.5 Million just a few months ago.  If you take away the special sub-breeds you’re still left with one of the most exquisite creatures in the world! It’s also the closest thing to owning a lion without breaking the law.

A Tibetan Mastiff pup goes somewhere around $3000-7000 in today’s economy.

Ain’t it a beauty? The Egyptian Pharaoh Hound is the official dog of Malta. It’s one of the oldest breeds in the world, it’s origins dating back to almost 4500 BC in Egypt.
